Students are introduced to animated gif's through a few examples. The best gif's are ones that are repeatable, meaning that the first and last frame are nearly the same.
Students are shown how to use Affinity Designer and Quicktime to create a basic text animation. (instructions can be found here.)
When the animation is finished, students use the EZGif maker website to make a GIF file.
Students are to make an animation that could be used as an ad on Pinterest or some other website to help advertise a sale or specific item. (Can be made on the computer or photo animation.) Don't limit yourself to existing companies. Be creative.
