Greeting Card Design

The teacher demonstrates how to make some simple holiday graphics (Christmas, Easter, President's day, Veterans Day, July 4 Halloween, etc.) that could be used on a greeting card. (Birthday imagery may also be demonstrated.) Some greeting card designs are shown in class.

Students are to make a greeting card design that is quickly and easily readable, possibly humorous, and includes an original illustration made by the student. The card should fill a quarter of a page and be oriented correctly so that, when printed, it can be folded into a card. ( See example here.)

Evaluation:
4 points -- Quality of graphic.
3 points -- Professionalism
3 points -- Text that fits the graphic
