    • The teacher demonstrates the step-by-step process of making a painting using overlapping layers of thick acrylic paint while Students follow along on their own paper.

    After the demo students are free to make their own painting using thick acrylics on paper.

    Evaluation:
    1 point -- Minimum of 3 simple objects
    2 points -- Nice arrangement or composition (Center of interest, Use of paper, Use of paints)
    4 points -- Variety of colors integrated nicely (no flat colors and blending to form three dimensionality)
    3 points -- Random Impressionistic brush strokes showing
