    Halloween

    Students are free to express their creativity and enjoy the upcoming Halloween festivities by making something that relates to halloween.

    Rodin's "Gates of Hell" are shown and discussed in class. These 20-foot tall doors were made as an entrance for the Decorative Arts Museum in France. Rodin was given free reign to make anything he wanted. Rodin chose to illustrate scenes from Dante's story, "Inferno". Rodin continued to work on the "Gates of Hell" for 37 years until 1917.

    Evaluation:
    1 point-- Freestanding or Hangable
    2 points -- Large enough to be hollow
    3 points -- Quality/Workmanship
    4 points -- Illustrates a humorous or frightening or religious element of All Saints Day or Halloween.
