Lettering

Students are shown how to make letters and words on their page and then shade around them to make the letters pop out.

Students are to make their own word and shade around the letters to make them stand out. The letters are the Negative Space.

Later the teacher demonstrates how to add a wash of Watercolor paint to color their letters.

If students are having a hard time making large thick blocky letters, a handout can be given to them. Click here for the handout.
