Springtime Eggs

This lesson teaches students how to easily make small decorative eggs for their spring table. Each student makes three small eggs in clay, then after firing, students will paint them.

The teacher demonstrates how to make small lumps of clay into balls, work them into small pinch pots and connect two pinch pots. Paddling and rolling are demonstrated as ways to shape the clay into eggs.

Relief sculpted details are discussed and demonstrated as well.
