  • 7th Grade

    Pencil Illustration

    The teacher demonstrates how to block out a drawing based on a picture and then shade it. Students follow along with the teacher duplicating the drawing as the teacher explains how to work through it.

    Students are to choose a picture from the list below (or find a black and white picture to draw from) and draw it as accurately as possible.

    --IF FINDING YOUR OWN IMAGE, IT MUST BE APPROVED BY THE TEACHER BEFORE STARTING--

    Evaluation:
    4 points - Proportion (size relationships)
    3 points - Smooth/accurate shading
    3 points - Contrast
    10 points total
