    • The teacher demonstrates how to blend Watercolor paints by painting while students follow along on their paper.

    A few techniques are illustrated by the teacher while the students try them on their paper:
  • Thin and thick lines
  • Gradient Wash
  • Brush lift
  • Papertowel blot


    • Next, students are given a sheet of paper and painter's tape. Students are to tape around to make at least 5 sections/shapes, then fill them with color gradients.

    Evaluation:
    2 points -- Followed Directions
    4 points -- Dark to light gradients
    4 points -- Mixed color gradient (purple, for example)


    10 points total.
