    This project is done before the class starts using silicone molding material.

    The teacher makes a small relief sculpted tile using oil-based clay while the students follow along. The tile illustrates some of the many different techniques that can be used in the production of a clay sculpture including:

  • Indenting/impressing textures
  • Drawing lines
  • Adding coils and slabs
  • impressing objects
  • Fitting/embedding an object
