International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards

    This project is an exercise to teach the process of creating carved sculptures with clay. Students are given equal-sized lumps of clay and shown how to carve the clay away to form a ball sitting on top of a box.

    Students are also shown how to cut a "pie" shape out of the back and how to hollow out the project.

    Evaluation:
    2 points -- Neatness/clean
    2 points -- Done on the due date
    2 points -- Hollowed out correctly
    4 points -- Accurate shape
