The LHS Art Department Philosophy

I believe that artistic skills are of primary importance and creativity is a secondary concern. For example, if a person has the skills to create a realistic drawing, they can very easily adapt those skills to make a creative work of art. A limited "skills palette" automatically produces a limited ability to represent the student's creative ideas. We hope to give each art student the abilities they need to successfully express their creativity.

Sincerely, Gerard Kulzer, LHS Art Dept.
