"Your care for others is the measure of your greatness."

Luke 9:48
I stumbled across the quote above and it touched me. I think it sums up how people should prioritize their lives. Put others first and you'll find that you can change the world! Scroll down below the pictures for stories with a touch less significance than the above statement.

Another year flew by and, I don't know about you, but it seems I don't have much to show for it. Our lives have been extremely uneventful in 2008. That being said, I'll continue noting the "uneventful" events of the past year despite objections from the peanut gallery.

For this family he biggest event in 2008 was the birth of our Daughter, Quinn. You can visit her website to see pictures and read well-wishes from family and friends.

Quinn came into the world with a rush. A rush to the operating room. The nurse found that Quinn's umbilical cord was prolapsed so every push cut off her oxygen. I didn't understand what was happening so it scared the heck out of me when all these people came in and started rushing Karen out to the operating room. You'd think a father who had witnessed 4 previous births would have been calm and cool, but it really shook me up. 15 minutes later I was told what happened and that I had a lovely 9 pound-6 ounce baby girl. Karen says she would rather have a normal birth any day over a C-section. I'll just agree with her and count my blessings that Men can't get pregnant.

Drew and Theo joined Tae Kwon Do this summer and absolutely love it! The clincher came when the boys got to break a board with their bare hands. That sealed the deal, they were hooked. And it impressed their father as well.

Last year we were worried about our little Shy Anissa making it in Kindergarten. Well, no worries there. She likes school as much as her brothers do. She seems to get alot of attention from all the boys, but that's just because there are only 4 girls in her class of 21.

Therese is working on speaking clearly. --Who am I kidding? She's not working on it at all. But we certainly are. It's difficult to coax her into saying, "I Love You" instead of "Lie Lofsh Loo". Stubborn girl. Wonder where she gets that from? If you know Karen or me, then you know the answer to that.

And now back to Quinn. She's by far the best baby we've had. She only fusses when she's hungry or stinky. She's so smiley and pleasant all the time. At 5 months, she's exploring everything she can get her hands on. Drew likes to talk to her but gets a little angry when she grabs his glasses off his face and won't let go of his hair.

Coming full circle, we believe all of you to be great people because you're our friends and family, but also because of how good you are to us. Thank you all for your help, prayers, and works of greatness in 2008.

Measure your Greatness this year!
