Drew (20 years old), Theo (18), Anissa (16) Therese (14) and Quinn (11) would like, along with myself and Karen, to wish all of you a Merry Christmas. Touch the images above to see how the kids have changed over the last 9 years. A quick update: Andrew is a junior at NDSU majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He got himself engaged to a wonderful young woman, Rachel, this fall. Wedding plans are still in flux. Theo is a freshman at UMD majoring in Biology with sights on Physical Therapy. He's minoring in Art and surprises me with his talent. Check out the Christmas Card he made here. Anissa is a junior at Litchfield High School. She tore a ligament in her ankle at Easter. After six months of local doctoring, we finally got her to a specialist. A five minute visit resulted in a definitive diagnosis and scheduled surgery. She's finally walking normally and even able to run a little. Therese is a high school freshman. She's such a pleaser, like her brother Theo. She will go out of her way to help anyone. She's thinking of being an elementary teacher or maybe something in religious education. She and Anissa are great helpers in Karen's sunday school program. Quinn is in 6th grade now. She just won first place in the "Patriots Pen" writing contest where she wrote about how great our country is. She wasn't so excited about first place as she was about the large check that came with it. Quinn is the first of our kids who I could actually hear in the band concerts because she's a percussionist. I was pretty proud to hear her individual parts after years of guessing if my kid were actually playing. :) Karen is enjoying her time off at Christmas after routinely logging 40-50 hour weeks at her 30 hour-per-week Director of Religious Education job with our church. She definitely donates her time and talent, if not her treasure. I am still working part time at Holy Trinity teaching Art and Industrial Technology classes. But after ACGC cut the elementary art program at Atwater, I'm working part time at Brodin Studios doing whatever clay work they have for me. After 30 years of working with kids, it's pretty fun working with adults. I'm enjoying the work and my colleagues there alot! We want to thank all of you for your goodness this past year. We wish all of you a happy and exciting 2020. Gerry Kulzer (And family) |
