  • Symbolism and meaning
    • Students are shown a couple examples of pots made using the Pinch technique. We talk about symmetry and how to make their pots symmetrical as well as good handle making techniques. Relief may be achieved through adding clay or carving areas of the pot away. Students are then challenged to make an unusually shaped pinch pot with handles that includes a design done in relief.
