    • Students are shown examples of various mug handles then a demonstration of how to pull a handle is done. The instructor takes a few minutes to pull 10 handles. The demonstration illustrates that making 10 handles during the course of an hour is actually possible and to reinforce the proper technique.

    Evaluation:

    Students are given 10 points for completing 10 handles in one class period. If they do not finish 10 acceptable handles within the hour, they need to start over the following day until they can make 10 good handles durning the hour.
