Soft Box

A "Softbox" is an area (usually a box) where an object can be placed and lit to produce a minimal shadow when being photographed. Holy Trinity students have the opportunity to use a softbox in our Photography Class. For this assignment students are required to bring in two small objects that they'd like to photograph. They must set up the tripod, camera, lights, and softbox and take a few pictures of their object. After uploading the pictures to a computer there should be very minimal photoshop work to produce a nice finished product.

Each student will turn in an original photo from each object and a corrected version for a total of 4 photos.

Evaluation: (5 points for each object):

2 points -- good choice of object (No pop cans) and followed directions (save originals as "1.jpg", "1b.psd", "2.jpg", "2b.psd". All 4 placed in a folder titled with the student's name.)

2 points -- Professionalism of original photo (crop, placement, lighting, shot angle, etc.)

1 point -- Finished corrected photo

Total for both objects: 10 points.
