7th Grade Industrial Technology Description/Standards

  • 1. Demonstrate knowledge of fractions as used in measurements.

    • T-square and triangle use is demonstrated:

    Students are shown how to square their paper with a t-square and tape it down.

    A short demonstration of t-square and triangle use are shown along with the use of a ruler to get accurate measurements.

    Students are to draw a half inch border around their paper and a 1/4 inch grid inside the border. After which they may color various designs on their gridded paper.

    Evaluation:

    3 points -- Even/consistent lines
    4 points -- Accurately measured grid
    3 points -- Creative and interesting colored design
