    • Students are shown how to roll out slabs of clay and how to tear the edges to make a random painting surface. Drying to leather hard is key. When leather hard, students are shown how to cut a beveled edge in the back to act as a ridge to glue the hanging cable to.

    Student can paint anything they like on the clay and may add surface texture to it if they want something a bit more three dimensional.
