Killing HEIC files
New iPhones use the .HEIC (High Efficiency Image Codec) instead of .JPG by default.
HEIC is not compatible with printing and many other photo editing processes so we need to convert them to JPG files or turn off HEIC on your phone.
1. Start the Settings app on your iOS device.
2. Scroll down to "Camera" and click into it.
3. Then press into "Formats".
4. Then select "More Compatible" so your iPhone won't use the HEIC file format.
The image below shows what to do (click the image for a larger version):
.
If you run into HEIC images, open them in Photoshop and save them as high quality Jpg files.
