Trifold Portraits


Minnesota K-3 Visual Art Standards Used in This Lesson:

  • 1. Identify the elements of visual art including Color, line, shape, Form, Value, texture and space.

  • 2. Identify the tools, materials and techniques from a variety of two- and three-dimensional media such as drawing, printmaking, ceramics or sculpture.

    • Students are shown examples of the trifold portraits. Special note is made of the different hair styles.

    Teacher demo's how to line up the measuring papers and make marks on the top and bottom, then line up the marks with the edge of the table and fold. "hold and fold".

    We then work through the parts and pieces step by step together.
