Students are asked to think about where they want to go on summer vacation. A brainstorming session is held where students tell the class where they want to go. Places they may say include: Waterpark, Mount Rushmore, Valley Fair, Alaska, Hawaii, the Moon, Saturn, Another planet, Walmart, etc.

A handout is given where they can draw their summer vacation post card with themselves smiling in the background somewhere.
