    • The book "Harold and his Purple Crayon" is read in class.

    The teacher hands out paper and gives the student a scenario like the following:

  • Harold had to get across the lake, What did he draw?
  • The day was so hot and Harold wanted to cool down. What did he draw? (A popsicle, a lake, a sprinkler)
  • Harold went for a walk and came to the edge of a strange city, what did the city look like?
  • In that strange city he goes to a zoo and sees strange animals. Draw one of the crazy animals.
  • Harold blasted off into space. What did he see?
  • Harold came back home and saw that his room was really messy. Draw the things he has on the floor of his room.
