The teacher talks about how we run the Lego lesson where sculptures are made, set up in our Art Room Museum to be viewed, and then taken apart. Today they will do the same but with clay. They won't be able to bring their sculpture home but will have the fun of being able to crush it up at the end. (Similar to the fun of stomping on a sand castle when you're done making it.)
Students are give lumps of clay to play with. 10 minutes before the end of the hour students set up what they made at their spots, stand and take a walking tour of the room. Sometimes a critique session happens but usually we just crush up the clay and clean up after the viewing.
