Students are shown how to use different size cups to print circles (white paint) on black paper. After they are finished printing their bubble circles, reflections are painted in with a brush and white paint.
Students get to blow bubbles after their painted bubbles are put in the drying spot. Special note is made of the colors that students see in the real bubbles they blow.
When the painted bubbles are dry the teacher demonstrates how to add color to them with oil pastels. Pastels are used so that colors can be layered to form more vivid colors against the black background paper. Students are allowed to blow bubbles again after their bubbles are colored.
