Drawing Trees with Apples


Minnesota K-3 Visual Art Standards Used in This Lesson:

  • 2. Identify the tools, materials and techniques from a variety of two- and three-dimensional media such as drawing, printmaking, ceramics or sculpture.

    • The teacher shows students how to draw and color various trees. After students have their trees drawn, they can add red sticker "apples" to them. Emphasis is put on placing apples evenly over the tree so that there is "balance" to the composition.
