3-D Wild Duplication
First, students are taken on a 3 day tour of the Adobe Illustrator interface and drawing tools. Students follow along using the tools as the instructor shows them how each works.

The first assignment is a simple illustration. Students are given a file that illustrates the use of Text, Gradients, Blends and the Pen tool. They are to duplicate the illustration as accurately as possible. The original Illustration is shown below.
Evaluation:
2 points -- Accurate colors
4 points -- Accurate placement of shapes and objects
4 points -- Accurate proportions
10 points total
