Parents and students should visit the LHS Art department web site above to see more details about the class. Also, check out the Current section of the web site (www.lhsart.org/current.html) to see examples of current projects and evaluation forms for each project.
Grades are based on a percentage, 90% and up is an A, 80-89% is a B, 70-79% is a C and so on. Students will get an evaluation form for each project that we do. The evaluation form states how the project is graded and how points are distributed between the different elements of the project. Grades are never based on how hard students try. An in-depth discussion of this can be found at: www.lhsart.org/philos.html Cheating is extremely difficult to do in an art class, however, if one is caught copying other's artwork or doing the work for someone else, those students will not recieve credit for that assignment.
Class rules (The three Rs):
1. Respect Others
2. Respect Materials
3. Be Responsible
Now lets have some fun and make some art!
