After a school year of having limited extracurricular activities due to Covid, having Gerry and his friend, Charles Banks, come into our 4th grade Summer School classroom was truly the highlight of our year! They are both natural born teachers and extremely talented artists. Gerry taught my class that mistakes are okay and everything is a learning process before it becomes a work of art. He inspired my students to want to visit the MN State Fair to see his butter sculpting of the Dairy Princess. Each child went home that night with a bag of clay to play with, mold, and create! We will never forget our time with Gerry!
