Zatanna
A DC Comic Character who is a Magician.
2 ft tall
I started this during spring conferences. Worked on it before and after school and during our "soar" lunch hour. A month later it was finished. (WAY too long to complete something like this but that's because I didn't have a good chunk of time to devote to it.)
Two bags of clay stacked vertically

The top hat was made on the potter's wheel

More facial features and the hair has been worked up.

Tuxedo sleeve wrinkles. The little dabs of clay are where I needed to make the sleeve or wrinkles thicker.


Because of the prolonged work time, I hollowed our parts as I went along, just in case it got too dry before I finished.

I had such a difficult time trying to figure out how to incorporate a base into the sculpt until I listened to myself explain the character's super power of pulling anything out of her hat. --There ya go!
