I like sculpting faces. Every face is different and it's a challenge to make a lump of clay resemble someone specific.
Here's a little practice piece I did of a friend who worked with me in Atwater and used to live in our neighborhood.
About 12 inches tall.
After the first hour or so.

The sculpture fell to the table, crushing part of it.

Reworked a smaller version based on photos.

The eyes weren't right so I changed them in the finished version.
