Fox 9 contacted Midwest Dairy about visiting my studio prior to the fair. As Leah and her cameraman were setting up I asked if, instead of me sitting there answering questions, I could sculpt her like I do in the Butter Booth for Princess Kay. She said she'd be honored and that's how we did the interview.

My daughter, Therese, took this pic as we were getting things set up.

After about an hour and a half we wrapped up the interview and took pictures of her with the (Very rough) sculpture.

I took a couple hours afterward to refine the sculpture more.

Sometimes I see things that need to be corrected in a drastic way. At this point I noticed her face was too long. So a section was removed and sculpted over.

This is a better likeness of Leah.

Finally, a very subtle turn of the head is added to make it feel more lifelike.
