Crazy Screaming Demon

This started out as an example in class for our "Halloween" project.
Pretty far along already in this first picture because I forgot to take any shots before this one.

Blank eyes, finished hair.

After making the eyes looking in the direction fo the head, I decided to try making him look more "wild". But then couldn't decide which I liked better. So I asked Benjamin Percy what he recommended. His reply: "Wow. That's fantastic work. I want one to put on my mantle! The wild eyes are much more upsetting to me, so there's your answer."

After hearing that Mr. Percy would like it on his mantle, I couldn't just crush it up so a base was added, it was hollowed out, fired and a bronze patina added.

Delivered a sculpture last night (10/26/23). Benjamin Percy seemed pretty happy with the crazy screaming demon. Next to the actual sculpting, this --THIS-- is the best part of making things: Bringing happiness to others.
