Life Size Tree

Another clay-over foam armature. Sculpting tree bark for this many branches was a "tiny" bit tedious

Registration marks and numbers were put on each part of the foam armature so the pieces can be put back together.
All the parts needed to be seamed together so the texture blends from one to the next, then cut apart again for molding.
Finished 8 ft. tall tree will be placed in a Cemetery in Michigan.




The tree trunk came in 3 parts. Here the bottom two are being blended together.


Embarrassed by the cluttered mess in my studio, I whited out the background but wanted to illustrate the size of the branches.
