Station of the Cross Sample

The 12th Station, Jesus Dies on the Cross
This was done as a sample piece for a proposed commission early 2017

Coils are laid down then smoothed over for the background. (I don't have a slab roller so this is a cheat to get an consistent background.)


Smoothed over coils and sketched-in background with rough figures added. The column bases were made on the potters wheel as one, then sliced in half.


Working from left to right the figures are worked up.
