Introduction to Oil-based Clay -- Pendant, Mascot, or Logo

The teacher gives each student a piece of oil-based clay (Chavant NSP Soft) to work with. They are to notice how hard it is but then after holding it in their hands they can feel how it becomes softer and more movable. This is the clay we will use to make pieces for our silicone molds.

Various ways of working the clay and tools are demonstrated by the teacher.

Students are to make a shallow relief sculpted Pendant, Sports mascot or Logo that can be molded with silicone and reproduced in resin.
