Students are given a
technical Lego set #1032 that includes gears, axles, and motors. The teacher demonstrates how to put things together and use the axels and wheels to make a car. (A set of wheels may also be provided.)
Students are to make their own car using the pieces provided.
Before racing students must present their vehicle to the class and explain (pitch) the reasons why they did certain things. (Why they used these wheels as opposed to others. Why they made it the shape it is. Why they added this or that part/piece. Etc.)
They then race the car down an incline and see whose goes the farthest.
