I like sculpting faces. Every face is different and it's a challenge to make a lump of clay resemble someone specific.Here's a little practice piece I did of a friend who I work with at EVW.
A nice challenge with the glasses! --And a great demonstration for my students because they all know her.
About 12 inches tall.
The first picture I sent her saying, "It's coming along. ;) ".
About 1.5 hours in.
Refining eyes and hair
"Opened" the eyes.
She was fairly adamant about having glasses on so that added a fun layer of complexity.
