Kat gave me a card before she left the fair the next day. Here's what it said:

Gerry,
You made 7 hours feel like 30 minutes. I felt like I was talking to a close friend. As I mentioned, I dreamt of that day forever. It was very different than I imagined, it was so much better! The way we were able to talk about art, social justice, our faith, our views on life and so much more. You gave me my favorite gift!

How many people can say they have a butterhead?

Keep living your life full of art, love and romance! You should feel so proud of all the joy you are giving to MN Fair goers, to the finalists, and our families.

Maybe you didn't think you would be so important to the Dairy Community, but we are grateful for you.
